A Louis XVI Meuble d’Entre-Deux

The rectangular inset and veined grey marble top enclosed with gilt-brass egg and dart border, surmounting a two-drawer frieze of light and dark wood veneer, adorned with rounded neoclassical style drawer pulls and brass mounted escutcheons. Below, body opens to two hollowed cabinets with diamond match veneer of lighter wood enclosed by gilt-brass ornament of four squared rosettes flanked by two gilt and fluted engaged columns with gilded capital on four square feet.
