A Famille Verte Hexagonal Stand

China, Kangxi period (1662-1722)


Width: 8 inches (20.4 cm.)

of hexagonal form and resting on three short feet. Decorated in famille verte enamels. Painted in the center with seven roundels containing precious objects or a landscape with rockwork and foliage , all on a yellow ground; the rim painted with three panels with scrolls and a diaper ground. The underside of the rim decorated with a band of aubergine ans stippled ground; each foot decorated with three florets on a green ground.

Condition: one chip repaired and edges under rim polished
